Gaston Christian School Launches Capital Campaign
|
The mission of Gaston Christian School is to ?Prepare People, Teach Truth, Glorify God.? We have a great deal of passion and commitment for these statements. They are our guiding principles to all that we do.
I have some exciting news to share! In the spring of 2021, GCS partnered with the J.F. Smith Group of Auburn, AL to conduct a feasibility study on behalf of our school. The study?s purpose was to test the readiness for a capital campaign and to enhance our ability to better meet the spiritual and academic needs of our students. The study was completed in June. In July 2021, under the leadership of the board of trustees, we embarked on the Transforming Lives for God?s Glory capital campaign.
With a Phase 1 goal of $2,050,000, the campaign seeks funds to build a new Student Life Center on campus. This new facility ? equipped with a dining hall/food court ? will further enhance our ability to fulfill our mission. Students, parents, faculty and staff will have space to deepen relationships, enjoy fellowship, relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. We envision this being a gathering place for student and adult Bible studies, prayer groups and a place to ?hang out? on campus. We will provide space for groups outside of the school to ?come and taste the goodness of God.? What a blessing it will be to know that we are being used to enrich the spiritual lives of not only our students and parents, but the whole community. We seek to be a light upon a hill, may God allow us to use everything we have to honor and glorify Him!!
